Brilliantly fun tale of two Daves.

Byline: ANTONY COTTON @antonycotton

I absolutely loved David Beckham Into The Unknown on BBC1 featuring the two Davids - Beckham and my old mate David Gardner.

Beckham calls him Dava. I've always called him Doris. If you saw it on Monday, you'll probably call him the idiot abroad.

But there is something so watchable about Beckham. He is charming and engaging and has that unique ability to make you want to be his friend.

And that's where Dava/ Doris comes in. It was friends on tour.

This was an adventure on an epic scale and as a viewer we certainly felt like we were the fifth member of this band of merry men.

It was brilliant to see them totally out of their comfort zone as they Carried On Up The Amazon to meet the Yanomami tribe.

When Doris complained about the sleeping arrangements, it made me laugh out loud.

Those lads have been thick as thieves for 20 years so it was nice to see their friendship played out on such a mammoth trip.

Well done, lads.

Best pals: Dave and Dava
