Brightstar Acquires Next Wireless to Elevate Consumer Confidence in Online Used Smartphone Shopping.
21 June 2018 - Miami, US-based mobile phone distributor Brightstar Corp. has acquired Miami, US-based Next Wireless Group, a technology company focussed on online sales of devices to consumers, the company said.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Next Wireless will now lead the B2C ecommerce channel for Brightstar's global sales of used wireless devices and services, utilising online marketplaces and the Next Wireless sales platform.
Next Wireless currently sells devices in online marketplaces in several countries and is a market leading seller of used devices online in France.
Brightstar will combine its expertise and scale in device collection, reconditioning and grading with Next Wireless' online sales and marketing know-how to grow international sales while developing an offering that consumers can trust.
