Bridge Information Systems, BT and Bay Networks Deliver Financial Intelligence in Under a Second.
Bridge Information Systems and BT Implement Bay Networks Kit to
Ensure Fast, Reliable Finance Data for its U.K. Customers Across
Hundreds of Sites
In a contract worth over $1 million, leading networking company, Bay Networks(R) today announced that it has joined forces with BT, the world's largest telecommunications company, to build a network to deliver fast and reliable financial information.
The infrastructure will enable Bridge Information Systems, the second largest financial information provider, to supply its customers with data in under a second.
Each of Bridge Information Systems' client sites incorporates Bay Networks' routing technology including the products: ARN(tm) routers and BayStack(tm) hubs.
"The new infrastructure provides a long-term fully expandable solution. Bridge Information Systems needed an end-to-end approach that would eliminate the need for several parties to be involved in customer installation. Bay Networks worked closely with Bridge Information Systems to deliver a reliable service to customers that would ensure an up time of 100%," comments Nick Lowe, UK sales manager for Bay Networks.
"Bridge Information Systems selected Bay Networks and BT based on Bay Networks' resilient technology and BT's proven ability as a service provider. We were looking for a stable solution that would continue to be advanced for the coming years. It is our philosophy to offer our customers the fastest and most reliable service possible," says Allan Appleton, IT director EMEA for Bridge Information Systems.
Keith Connelly, account director for Bridge at BT comments, "Bridge Information Systems, BT and Bay Networks continue to work closely, in order to ensure that the best of technology and service are foremost for Bridge's clients. BT recognises that the best of breed will always be the key to success, our relationship with Bridge is strong and will continue to develop.
"The account team is committed to quality, we care about Bridge and its success in the U.K. and across Europe. The evolving relationship between Bridge, BT and Bay Networks can only help to ensure that we all enjoy success in the future."
