COMPANY HISTORY

Bri-Al started as a trading company in 1986 and has since evolved into a complete brand management entity for building specialty products. Reorganized in 1996 to concentrate on targeted segments and to focus on brand initiatives by market areas, Bri-Al is operated by managers experienced in all classes of trade: Specialty, Grocery, Natural Foods, and Club. Bri-Al is committed to the premise that "premium, value-added upscale brands" can be grown through specialty food distributors. Bri-Al's mission is to develop strategic plans and to execute programs delivering brand development.

PRODUCTS

Bri-Al is an international importer of food from the U.K., the European Community, Canada, and the Middle and Far East, while representing several U.S. products. RECENT OR PLANNED PRODUCT INTRODUCTIONS

In January 2004, Chocolaterie Duc d'O from Belgium will join the Bri-Al family of specialty products. Chocolaterie Duc d'O, with over a 20-year history of using precious family recipes, produces a complete range of Belgium "classics" that includes truffles, seashells, and pralines. Our master chocolaterie also created the Mini Patissier range of "Mini Pralines," the finest Belgian-qualily confectionery, for the connoisseur. Shipper displays are available.

Harborside Country Bread Mixes from New England, making their debut at the Fancy Food Show in New York City, are a wonderful new addition to the quick bread category. Available in Harvest Pumpkin, Cranberry, Lemon Poppy, and Chocolate Cherry, this family recipe ensures consistent flavors and texture with every loaf.

The year to come will bring additional changes and new members to the Bri-Al family. Drogheria & Alimentari are pleased to announce the addition of the finest-quality infused vinegars and bread-dipping seasonings to their line of spice mills and infused oils. The distinctive molded glass decanters will entice customers to select these culinary delights.

Bri-Al is adding Muhigrain and Garlic and Onion favors to Finn Crisp to complete the line in 2004. Finn Crisp traditional crispbreads are baked with whole-grain rye four using the original Finnish recipes demanded by crispbread lovers.

MERCHANDISING SUPPORT

Bri-Al succeeds in growing brands by providing a fresh, consumer-targeted approach to marketing and selling. Each brand receives individual planning and selling support from a national direct sales and marketing organization complemented by 50+ brokers servicing over 150 customers in multiple distribution channels throughout the U.S.

Bri-Al works with our principals to position and develop the role of our brands in the appropriate distribution channels. Bri-Al provides full service in all areas of sales and marketing strategies to reach all targeted consumer groups. All day to day functions--selling, marketing, and distribution--are performed as a "consumer package goods company."

MISCELLANEOUS

Our mission is to provide superior access for premium products to the U.S. market through targeted accounts by operating as a strategic partner with our key principals. Bri-Al grows premium specialty brands through all appropriate trade channels. Bri-Al participates in all aspects of planning, development, and the execution of marketing initiatives encompassing all phases of brand development.
