Breaking many legs.

DAVIDSON, N.C.: Last month, the Royal Shakespeare Company spent two weeks in residency at Davidson College, a North Carolina liberal-arts college that has contracted annual return engagements for RSC through 2008. In addition to the grab bag of classes, lessons, workshops, and RSC performances of Julius Caesar and The Two Gentlemen of Verona, the British troupe is staging its first U.S. exhibition of artifacts and memorabilia from its massive archive at its Stratford demesne. On view through April 15, Break Thy Leg: Art and Design from the RSC Collection is a three-act showcase of costumes, designs and paintings from past and present Two Gents and Julius. The third act features a three-minute time-lapse video that condenses the construction of RSC's mobile theatre from an empty sports hall to a complete stage with audience seating.
