Breaking barriers of prejudice; LOZELLS AND ASTON.

LOZELLS and Aston residents are invited to help organise a meeting to help break down barriers following last year's riots.

Archway Alliance Ltd and The Birmingham Race Action Partnership will join members of the community, as well as volunteers and workers based in the community at the free event next month. A spokesman for the event said: "We hope that this event can be a good way for all local volunteers to meet each other and discuss a viable action plan for empowering and making our local area prosperous. We hope people's participation can benefit our communities for a long time to come and could be the start of some positive changes." The event will take place on February 4, although organisers are asking for potential participants to get in touch with them about possible venues and precise times. For information call 07708 184 552 or email archwayalliance@hotmail.co.uk.
