The head of the central bank of Brazil has opined that there is ample room for the bank to build reserves.
Henrique de Campos Meirelles, the president of the country's central bank, said that the central bank intends to continue accumulating foreign currency reserves.
In an interview, Meirelles said, 'We think that we still have ample room to accumulate reserves. During this crisis one of the lessons learned is that more reserves...is better than less at the level we are now.'
