Brazil Bank takes floor

The Galbreath Company has arranged a 13,100-square-foot, 10-year lease for Banco Bamerindus do Brasil, a prominent Brazilian bank, at Swiss Bank Tower, the new Midtown office tower managed by The Galbreath Company.

The 322,500-square-foot building, which opened in April, is nearly 90 percent leased, almost exclusively to foreign tenants. Philip D. Restifo, Galbreath's senior managing director, and Elizabeth Houley, associate director, and Swiss Bank's agents, made the announcement.

The tenant, which is relocating from the Plaza District, and will occupy the entire 28th floor of the tower, was introduced to the building by the firm of Williamson Picket Gross. It joins a notable international tenant roster that includes The Yarmouth Group; Allen & Overy; Sun Alliance USA Inc.; Clifford Chance; The 77 Bank, Ltd.; and the building's owner, Swiss Bank Corporation.
