Brazil's TAM reports Q1 financial and operational results.
Brazilian airline TAM S.A. (NYSE: TAM) (BOVESPA: TAMM4) has published its financial and operational results for the first quarter of 2007.
The company recorded gross revenues of BRL1.9bn for the three-month period, an increase of 15% compared to the first quarter of last year. Earnings per share amounted to BRL0.39, down from BRL0.85 a year ago.
The airline's total demand (RPKs) increased by 33.2% compared with the first quarter of 2006, while capacity (ASKs) grew 36.5%. This resulted in an overall load factor of 70.8%, a decrease from 72.6% in last year's first quarter.
