Brazil's TAM releases fourth quarter 2008 results.
Brazilian airline TAM SA (BOVESPA: TAMM4) (NYSE: TAM) has reported its financial and operational results for the fourth quarter 2008.
The company recorded gross revenues for the quarter of BRL3bn, up 28.8% compared to the fourth quarter 2007. The net loss for the fourth quarter 2008 was BRL1,22.7m.
TAM carried a total of 7.4m passengers in the fourth quarter 2008, an increase of 2% over the same period in the prior year.
The airline took delivery of three Airbus A319s, four A320s and three Boeing 777s in the quarter, while it eliminated MD11s from its fleet.
