Brave Heidi writes book about water allergy.
Heidi Falconer, aged 12, cannot drink water and is allergic to her own bodily fluids which leave her with nasty blisters when they come into contact with her skin.
In 1996 thieves stole her special protective suit. They returned it, torn to shreds, but Heidi's plight touched the nation and her bravery was recognised by the Sunday Mercury when she became a Wonderkid.
Now her mother, Wendy Falconer, 38, is looking for a publisher for 'It's Only Water' which chronicles Heidi's fragile life.
Mum-of-three Wendy, from Shropshire, said: 'Heidi helped me write it and there are extracts written entirely on her own but most of it is about how we as a family have coped with her condition.
'Heidi is getting to that age when she is demanding more freedom.
'We've bought her a mobile phone which she carries at all times in case of any problems.
'And she's not too keen to wear her special suit all the time. She's even asked if she can have one made by Nike or Reebok like all her mates' jackets.'
Wendy added: 'Things are better than they were. She has been using a special cream sent free from Sweden and that really helps.'
