Brace yourselves, heatwaves are back.

The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute issued weather warnings for the upcoming days.After a short period of rain and colder weather, heatwaves will return to Slovakia in the last week of June.

The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMaS) issued the first-level weather warnings for the southern-Slovak regions for June 25. They apply to the Bratislava Region, the Banska Bystrica Region, the Kosice Region, the Nitra Region and the Trnava Region between 14:00 and 17:00.Even warmer weather is expected on Wednesday, June 26. The first-level weather warnings apply for all Slovak regions between 14:00 and 17:00, though the area of Orava, Liptov and the Tatras will probably not be affected.The highest expected temperature is 33 Celsius on June 25, the next day may be even one degree warmer.
