Boycott Krug and C. K. Mondavi.

San Francisco

The United Farm Workers of America (UFW) on June 15 announced a boycott of the Charles Krug Winery and C. K. Mondavi wines.

The Krug Winery, operated by the Mondavi family, was one of the first vineyards the UFW successfully organized back in 1975. But the latest contract with Krug expired at the end of last year, and the company has threatened to fire its thirty-six-member unionized workforce. The UFW has filed an unfair labor practice grievance with the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board.
