Boy gone bad.

Though some criminals thoroughly deserve to be shot, the victims who are forced to shoot the criminals often feel guilt for shooting them. Overcoming the guilt after shooting someone is often difficult, but it's likely more so when one must shoot a family member. A Woodbridge, California, man is finding out how this feels after being forced to shoot his own son on July 12.

The father in the case, Mel Roush, shot his son in the leg when his son, Jason Roush, threatened to kill him with a poker. The News-Sentinel reported that the district attorney's office has yet to determine whether the shooting was justified, but the son's history would indicate that it was.

The 25-year-old Jason not only was previously forbidden by a judge from harassing his mother and father because he had vandalized his mother's property and beat his father, he had also been charged with vehicle theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, drunk driving, and failure to serve time in jail.

Jason was listed in stable condition.
