Boy dies in pylon fall tragedy.

A TEENAGE boy died when he fell from an electricity pylon in Rotherham.

South Yorkshire Police said the youngster, who has not been named, is thought to have been climbing the pylon when the accident happened at about noon yesterday.

A spokeswoman said the boy may have been electrocuted before he fell from the structure in woods close to Hollins Lane, Sunnyside.

She said: "South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and South Yorkshire Police took part in a rescue operation after a teenage boy fell from an electricity pylon.

"It is believed the boy was climbing the pylon and may have been electrocuted before he fell."
