Boy 'sent back over fire threat'.

Byline: STEPHEN HAYWARD

THE adoptive gran of a Russian orphan whose new family sent him back to Moscow alone on a plane claims the boy threatened to burn down the family home with them in it.

Russian authorities were outraged when seven-yearold Artem Saveliev arrived in the capital after a 10-hour flight - with a note from adoptive mum Torry-Ann Hansen, 34, saying she did not want him any more because he had psychological problems. Her mum Nancy Hansen, of Tennessee, US, said: "He drew a picture of our house burning down, and said he's going to burn our house down with us in it. It was terrible."

She said her daughter had accompanied Artem, who she had named Justin, on a flight from Tennessee to Washington and then put him on a flight to Russia.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said the Hansens' decision was "monstrous".
