Boy, 16, arrested.

A teenager has been arrested after a girl was assaulted in the grounds of a South Wales school.The 11-year-old schoolgirl was assaulted in the grounds of Bryn Hafren Comprehensive School, Barry, at lunchtime on Monday.

She was not badly hurt in the attack, which happened around 1.30pm, but detectives repeated advice to parents and children to be vigilant.

Now a 16-year-old boy from the Barry area has been arrested in relation to the assault and is helping police with their inquiries.

The boy was arrested yesterday.

The girl was among a group of pupils in the grounds of the school when her attacker approached them.

He grabbed the girl, who managed to run away with the others.
