Boxing: Warren's new deal.

Byline: OLIVER HOLT

FRANK Warren last night announced a revolutionary new boxing deal that could persuade Amir Khan to stay amateur - then admitted he would do everything he could to sign him up when he turns pro.

Warren revealed details of plans for amateur boxers to fight up to six times a year on professional bills for the first time in the long history of the sport in this country.

And he said young Olympic hero Khan has been pencilled in to share top billing with Joe Calzaghe in Manchester on February 19.

"But if you ask me whether I want to sign Amir, well of course I do," added Warren.
