Boxing: Khan vow to wow Cardiff; BOXING: COUNTDOWN TO TITLE FIGHT.

AMIR KHAN is pledging to produce the fight of his professional life so far when he re-visits the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on July 8.

Britain's up-and-coming young pro boxer has yet to fight for a title but his journey around the United Kingdom is fast preparing the Bolton kid for the day that he does.

Khan said: "The way the crowds have got behind me in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales is very exciting.

"The response makes me feel like I'm fighting for a title and makes me want to do that little bit extra.

"I got a fantastic reception when I fought in Cardiff nine months ago, and it's an honour to be on the same cardas the bill topper, Joe Calzaghe.

"I want to follow in his footsteps over the next few years."
