Boss calls for more to feel festive spirit.

A SOUTH Wales businessman will be celebrating Christmas early this year by signing up to the British Heart Foundation's annual fundraising Cardiff Santa Jog.

Adrian Clark, boss of Legal and General's 2,000 staff in the city, is now urging other business leaders to join him at this festive fun-run on December 7 - just eight weeks away.

Mr Clark was joined at the launch on the Santa Jog by Cardiff's award-winning Snakecharmers cheerleading squad who will also be on hand at the Cardiff Santa Jog to lend their support.

He said: "We are supporting the event and I'm looking forward to completing the fun run course. I encourage other Cardiff businesses and individuals to sign up and get a team together for what promises to be a huge event in the city."

"I know many members of staff at L&G have been touched by heart disease, either themselves or their family members or friends. Heart disease can affect any of us and the vital and pioneering work the BHF do is key to beating heart disease here in Wales.

To take part in the 5km Santa Jog course around Bute Park register at bhf.org.uk/santajogs or ring 0800 783 6970.

Places are limited and based on a first-to-register basis.

All adults registering for the event will receive a free Santa suit to wear on the day.

Children are encouraged to come along in fancy dress.
