Borland selected to develop work management system for DLA.

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-26 September 2002-Borland selected to develop work management system for DLA (C)1994-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Law firm DLA has selected software application technology provider Borland Software Corp for a company-wide IT project.

Borland will use its JBuilder development environment to build a Java-based electronic work management system for DLA's staff in the UK, Europe and Far East. The system will reportedly allow the access of data and documents at any time from any location.

The company has reported that the first stage of the project is complete and that staff may now search, access and update data and documents through the browser and Microsoft Outlook. The second stage - in development at the moment - will extend these capabilities to DLA's clients.

The financial terms of the agreement were not announced.
