Booty-ful win by Crackley!

CRACKLEY Hall's five-a-side football team hase won the Independent Schools' Association's Midlands Tournament.

The U10s team captained by Oscar Blunsom-Washbrook played five group games and only conceded two goals throughout the day's play held at Dixie Grammar School.

Controlled goal keeping by Joshua Mitchell held any attacks from opposing teams at bay whilst the passing skills demonstrated by the Crackley boys put them in control from the start.

Three of the group games against Highfields, Stafford A and St Joseph's were 1-0 wins for Crackley with a staggering 5-0 victory over Salterford. A 1-1 draw with Dixie saw Crackley win their group and go on to the final against St Wystan's. St Wystan's had a strong support element from the side line with parents cheering their team on. When they took the first goal to steal the lead Crackley Hall had to dig deep and not lose control.

It was then over to 'hat-trick hero' Immanuel Kirya who in the words of football coach James Ferris 'nonchalantly' scored a blistering trio of goals. This left the side line speechless as Crackley Hall swept to a final 3-1 trophy winning victor y.

Mr Ferris said: "I am immensely proud of all of the boys for their determination and teamwork throughout the whole day. Their sheer will to win was a force to be reckoned with."
