BURBANK, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Oct. 18, 2000

Halloween is just weeks away, and Toon Disney, Disney's 24-hour all-animation channel, is getting ready to scare up some fun with its exclusive online "Screaming Meanies" poll.

Viewers can log on to www.ToonDisney.com from now until Oct. 25 to vote for their favorite Toon Disney villains. The results will be announced on air during Toon Disney's "Screaming Meanies Halloween Weekend" Oct. 28-31, 7PM-9PM ET/PT where the winners will be featured each evening in two-hour Toon Disney programming blocks.

Bad guys who are in the running include Ma Beagle from "DuckTales," Hades from "Hercules," Megavolt from "Darkwing Duck," Ursula from "The Little Mermaid," Cruella De Vil from "101 Dalmatians" and Xanatos from "Gargoyles." With 20 villains to choose from and only four possible winners, it's sure to be a tight race.

Also in celebration of the scariest night of the year, viewers can watch their favorite animated heroes fight off a whole host of ghosts, goblins and ghouls. Toon Disney offers up a full day of Halloween-themed episodes of its popular animated series on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 7AM-Midnight. See attached grid for detailed listings.

Targeted towards kids ages 2-11 and family-friendly, Toon Disney, a 24-hour all-animation basic cable network, showcases the Walt Disney Company's vast library of animated programming, encompassing seven decades of series, films and specials from Academy Award(R)-winning shorts to contemporary television series.
