Books Are My Bag Readers Awards nominates two Penguin General titles for Beautiful Book Award shortlist.

Publishing house Penguin Random House UK revealed on Tuesday that two Penguin General titles are on the shortlist for the Beautiful Book Award, part of the 2017 Books Are My Bag Readers Awards.

Sponsored by National Book Tokens, the Books Are My Bag Readers Awards are curated by bookshops and the winners are chosen by booklovers.

The Beautiful Book Award celebrates the beauty of the physical book and recognises them as artefacts to be treasured. This award is shortlisted and voted for exclusively by booksellers.

Penguin Random House UK said Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi and The Lost Words by Robert MacFarlane and Jackie Morris have been shortlisted for the Beautiful Book Award, which brings the total of nominations for the publisher's titles to 11. The nominations include seven Penguin Random House UK books and two authors that were on the shortlist announced at the beginning of October.

Abir Mukherjee and AaAaAeAedouard Louis are on the shortlist for the Breakthrou Author Award.

The Novel Award shortlist includes Birdcage Walk by Helen Dunmore; Hot Milk by Deborah Levy; and Swing Time by Zadie Smith.

Shortlisted for the Popular Fiction Award are Munich by Robert Harris and The Power by Naomi Alderman.

Also, the Middle Grade (7-11) Award shortlist includes The Guggenheim Mystery by Robin Stevens & Siobhan Dowd, while The Adversary by Emmanuel CarrAaAaAeA?re is shortlisted for the Non-Fiction Awar
