Book in to our library bus!

BOUGHTON Leigh Infant School found an exciting solution to having a library - a double decker bus!

Becky Dobson, from the school, said: "We were looking for a space to have a library and we wanted something to really inspire our boys and encourage them to read.

"Steve Burd from Stagecoach Midlands kindly donated a double decker bus to us and we have transformed it into a library.

"To ocially launch the bus we had author Andy Cope who wrote the Spy Dog and Pup series. He came and talked to the children about what he did and his ideas. We had a range of stalls including tombola, cakes, ice cream van and games. Our cheerleading team performed and we had music from Jonathan Gaskil from Boughton Leigh Junior School. Parents were invited in and had the opportunity to have books signed by Andy Cope. Tours of our bus also took place.

"A great and fun day was had by all."
