Bonnie Franklin, 'One Day At A Time' Actress, Diagnosed With Pancreatic Cancer.

Actress Bonnie Franklin, who starred in the sitcom "One Day At a Time," is battling pancreatic cancer, her family revealed.

CBS, the network that aired "One Day At a Time" from 1975 to 1984, said Franklin, 68, is going through treatment for pancreatic cancer and is "continuing her normal schedule," according to a statement given to the (http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_PEOPLE_BONNIE_FRANKLIN?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT) Associated Press .

"One Day At a Time" also starred Mackenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinelli, who played Franklin's daughters on the long-running CBS sitcom.

Franklin's TV daughters took to Twitter to send their prayers to the 68-year-old actress.

"Sending out love and sweet prayers to my 'mom.' The incomparable Bonnie Franklin," (https://twitter.com/MackPhillips/status/250316211617923072) Phillips tweeted.

In a Twitter message posted Tuesday afternoon, Bertinelli called Franklin "the kindest, smartest, bravest woman I know."

"Send some of your extra prayers to Bonnie please," (https://twitter.com/Wolfiesmom/status/250691310208573441) she wrote .

News of Franklin's pancreatic cancer diagnosis came as the actress' last appearance on the daytime soap opera "The Young & The Restless" aired, according to (http://movies.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?news=760928) MSN Entertainment.

Others in the entertainment world also shared their thoughts on Franklin through their Twitter accounts.

Patty Duke wrote, "my heart and prayers r with Bonnie and her family."

"Saddened to hear about Bonnie Franklin's diagnosis," wrote actor Michael Muhney, Franklin's "Young & The Restless" co-star.
