Bomber kills 25 at policeman's funeral; AROUND THE WORLD.

PAKISTAN MORE than 20 people were killed when a suicide bomber attacked a funeral for a policeman in south-western Pakistan.

The victims included a senior police officer. More than 60 people were wounded.

The funeral was being held in an open field outside a mosque in Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province. The ceremony was for a policeman who was gunned down earlier in the day as he travelled through the city in a vehicle with his children. Two of his children were wounded in the attack.

Most of the 25 dead and the wounded were police officers. Among those killed was the head of police operations in Baluchistan.
