Bomb threat delays America West Airlines flight.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

A passenger boarding an America West Airlines flight at Seattle found a bomb threat written on an air sickness bag on 12 August.

The note resulted in a delay of about two hours for the flight to Phoenix while bomb experts searched the aircraft. No explosive device was found and the aircraft was reloaded and resumed its service to Phoenix without incident.

A spokesperson for the Seattle Port Authority and Seattle-Tacoma Airport told Reuters that there was no indication of how long the note had been there and that the incident was 'really just somebody's idea of a joke that inconvenienced a lot of people.'
