Body wrapped in garbage bag found in Edsa-Ortigas.
The body of a still unidentified man wrapped in a garbage bag was found along the southbound lane of Edsa-Ortigas just before the flyover early Thursday morning, amid an increasing death toll in the government's war against drugs and criminality.
According to a report by Radyo Inquirer 990AM, scene of the crime operatives (Soco) found a wire wrapped around the victim's neck.
The man, who had a tattoo on his body, was wearing a white shirt and red shorts.
On Sunday, the body of an alleged snatcher wrapped in masking tape with a handwritten note saying 'Huwag ako tularan, snatcher ako! Salot sa Edsa' was found along Edsa in Quezon City.
Another body of a still unidentified man was also found at Pier 2 in Tondo, Manila, at around 4 a.m.
According to the homicide section of the Manila Police District, the man sustained gunshots in different parts of the body. Authorities recovered a .38-cal. revolver near the body.
The man, about 5'2' to 5'4' tall, was wearing a dark shirt and shorts.
A drug suspect named Fernando Rempilio was also shot dead in Caloocan by eight men who rode in tandem on motorbikes, the report added.
The Philippine National Police has confirmed the killings of almost 200 drug suspects in the administration's ongoing drive against illegal drug trade.
