Body of adviser to former deputy prime minister drowned in Issyk-Kul lake in July found.

The body of lawyer Alexander Struchalin who drowned in Issyk-Kul lake in July 2018 was found on September 4 by the locals.

The 41-year-old worked as a lawyer. In 2016, he was a pro-bono adviser to the deputy prime minister.

Funeral will be held on Sept 5.

The man was resting with friends near the boarding house "Natali", located on the shore of the lake, below Kyzyl-Suu village of Jeti-Oguz district, according to eyewitnesses.

During the rest, he has reportedly noticed a woman riding a scooter, which broke. The man decided to help and swam to her. But he could not get to the scooter and drowned in 50-60 meters from the shore. The depth of the lake where the man drowned is more than 40 meters, rescuers say.

The accident occurred on July 23 at about 12:00 pm.
