Body found in search for missing boy.

A BODY was found last night by rescuers searching for a 12-year-old boy who had reportedly fallen into a marina.

Emergency services were called to Beeston Marina on the River Trent in Nottingham at around 6pm. Missing Owen Jenkins was said to have been playing in the area.

Shortly 10pm, Nottinghamshire Police said: "A body has been found in the search for a missing 12-year-old boy at Beeston Marina.

"We were called to reports that a boy had gone into the River Trent off Riverside Road at around 6pm. Our thoughts are with the family."

Six fire appliances were called to the scene and around 40 fire officers were involved in the search.
