Body found as car blazes.

A PERSON has died after a blaze in a car.

The Ford Mondeo was found burning on an isolated track between Lower Denby and Penistone at 1.30pm yesterday.

The track, off Broad Oak Lane at In gbirch worth, is near the stretch of the A635 road that runs from Denby Dale towards Caw Thorne.

The spot is in South Yorkshire and fire crews from the county quickly extinguished the flames, which were confined to the car's interior.

They called police after making the gruesome find.

The body is believed to be that of a man.

A post-mortem was due to take place today.

The car is thought to be registered to someone in South Yorkshire.

Police say the death is not thought to be suspicious.
