Blythe return to the Lincoln.

Blythe Knight, winner of the 2006 Lincoln Handicap, features among a typically strong entry for this year's pounds 100,000 William Hill-sponsored event.

Traditionally the curtain raiser to the flat turf season and one of the major betting races of the year, the one-mile cavalry charge will be staged at Newcastle as Doncaster's redevelopment continues.

A total of 102 horses have been entered at this early stage, including four from Ireland featuring the Tom Hogan-trained Kalderon and Rockie.

Acheekyone, Blue Bajan and Dermot Weld's Bawaader currently share favouritism at 14-1 in the sponsors' ante-post market.

David Hood, William Hill's director of racing, said: "We are absolutely delighted with the entry for this year's William Hill Lincoln which, for the second year running, is more than 100."
