Blue day for fans of Local Hero landmark.
FILM fans were horrified when they went to pay homage to the setting of cult film Local Hero, only to find the normally white Pennan Inn had been painted bright blue.
The disgruntled fans reported the sight for sore eyes to council officials and now owner Brenda Kutchinsky has had to lodge a retrospective planning application for changing the colour of the walls.
But she says several houses in Pennan, Buchan, have been painted in a variety of colours and that the owners of these properties should also apply for planning permission.
"This is victimisation," said Mrs Kutchinsky.
"If my planning application is rejected I'll appeal to the Scottish Executive and could take it all the way to the European Court of Human Rights."
