Blind man's rough snags star's drive Hasting stars.

Sports heroes Craig Brown and Scott Hastings were the driving force for a special tee-off at Troon yesterday.

Scotland's football coach and the ex-British Lion rugby star swung into action to launch the British Blind Golf Championship.

Both had the extra handicap of blindfolds as they teed off the contest.

And Scott, who sent his drive into the rough, said: "I was just glad to get it off the tee."

Troon's Gerry Kelly starts the defence of his title on his home courses of Darley and Lochgreen today.
