Blessed are the peacemakers, and one of America's foremost behind-the-scenes peacemakers for the past 20 years on the international scene has been Dr. Landrum Bolling. (Post People).
Landrum Bolling subsequently served as the first president of the Benjamin Franklin Literary and Medical Society, the foundation that publishes The Saturday Evening Post and seven children's health magazines.
Recently having celebrated his 90th birthday, Dr. Bolling continues his peacemaking efforts as director-at-large of Mercy Corps International and senior advisor of Conflict Management Group in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He also is senior fellow at the Center for International Policy in Washington, D.C. A newly dedicated Landrum Bolling Center for Interdisciplinary Studies and Social Sciences has been established at Earlham College.
