A REPUTATION for great comedy continues to grow at Stockton's Arc.

Here are some of the venue's highlights:

Friday, Sept 28

ALFIE JOEY

The former priest, one-time Harrod's toy demonstrator, and now co-star of Johnny Vegas's sitcom in Ideal takes his turn in the spotlight at the Catch 22 comedy club.

The exceedingly animated Alfie stacks his routine with tall tales, observations, puns and even some quality impersonations.

Tickets are pounds 8.

Friday, Oct 12

MARK STEEL

Author, columnist and legendary stand-up, Mark has been a regular on the comedy circuit for the last 20 years.

Tickets are pounds 13, pounds 11.

Friday, Oct 26

SILKY and LLOYD LANGFORD

Liverpudlian-in-exile Silky is a tall, versatile and very likeable performer who recently headlined the inaugural Frampton Mansell comedy festival; expect memorable one-liners and topical material from serial award nominee Lloyd; Jason Cook is MC for this Catch 22 comedy club night.

Friday, Nov 30

JON RICHARDSON and JOHN NEWTON

Last year Jon Richardson MC'd in the French Alps, headlined in Barcelona, performed his one-man show in Greece, and supported Alan Carr on his 60 date sell-out tour. John Newton supports with some good old fashioned back-to-basics gags. Jason Cook is MC again. Tickets pounds 8.

Saturday, Dec 8

JEREMY HARDY

There's not much that the Perrier Award-winner, newspaper columnist, actor, author and film scriptwriter can't turn his hand to.

A stalwart of the comedy circuit, he's been selling out major venues across the globe for more than a decade.

Tickets pounds 14, pounds 12.

Thurs & Fri, Dec 20/21

ROB HEENEY and LEE BANNARD

Rob Heeney is playful, cynical and effortlessly charming. His quick wit and inspired ad-libbing have won him slots at the UK's top clubs including the Comedy Store and Jongleurs. Having been on the circuit for just a few years, Lee Bannard is already making a name for himself as one of the country's best deadpan acts. MC for the night will be Matt Reed. Tickets pounds 8.
