Blair Importers, Ltd. names Malone.

Alan Shayne, executive vice president of Blair Importers, Ltd., recently announced the appointment of John Malone as the company's national beer sales manager.

Malone began his career in the beer business in 1964 with the introduction of Guinness beers to the United States. He later joined the Whitbread Group as their executive vice president.

In 1984, he was appointed director of expansion for Rolling Rock beer in the United Kingdom.

According Shayne, "Blair Importers has taken an aggressive position in the imported beer business. Our approach to the imported beer business has resulted in the tremendous success of Ruski, an imported Russian beer.

"It is our objective to build a dynamic beer portfolio," Shayne continued. "John Malone brings to Blair the knowledge and expertise needed to reach this goal. "
