BlackRock Advisors LLC disclosed on Friday that the board of trustees of BlackRock Municipal Target Term Trust (NYSE:BTT) authorised a name change to 'BlackRock Municipal 2030 Target Term Trust' from 1 March 2016.

Also, the company stated that although the name changes, it will continue to trade on the NYSE under its current ticker symbol 'BTT'.

BlackRock provides investment and risk management and advisory services and its assets under management as of 31 December 2015, was USD4.645trn. It provides a range of products such as separate accounts, mutual funds, iShares (exchange-traded funds) and other pooled investment vehicles, besides risk management, advisory and enterprise investment system services through BlackRock Solutions.

The company had about 13,000 employees in over 30 countries as of 31 December 2015 and a presence in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East and Africa.
