Black Foam Colorant Is 10 Times Stronger.

A new high-viscosity black paste for flexible urethane foam is said to be 10 times stronger than traditional carbon-black pastes. Tinctorial strength of High-Viscosity Super Black #34-81128 reportedly makes it unnecessary to supplement carbon black colorants with dyes to achieve intense black coloration.

The new product contains 35-45% pigment solids by weight (versus the 10-12% solids in conventional carbon-black pastes) in a totally reactive polyether polyol vehicle. Proprietary processing is said to reduce pigment agglomerates to individual particles that are smaller and distribute more uniformly in urethane foam cells.
