Black Country News: Order to tackle centre crime; WALSALL.

POLICE have been granted a special order to move people away who congregate around an education centre following a spate of criminal activity.

Walsall police have obtained a dispersal order for the area surrounding the Pelsall Educational Development Centre, Pelsall Lane, Rushall, after several burglaries were carried out.

The order covers the centre and the surrounding grounds and is active until the end of the year.

The order allows officers to disperse groups of two or more people who congregate in the area covered by the ban.

Sgt Martin Brown, of the Shelfield and Rushall neighbourhood policing team, said: "We are determined to stop the problems."
