Black Country News: Branch founder retires; CHARITY.

THE founder member of a Black Country branch of a charity which provides information and support services to people with brain injury has retired.

Geoff Smart started Headway Black Country in 1997 at a time when there was no local group.

Geoff had been receiving support from the Headway group in Birmingham for himself and his wife who had sustained head injuries in an accident.

Geoff was presented with an engraved cut glass decanter and wine glasses in recognition of the ten years service to the organisation at its annual meeting recently.
