AS the nation looks ahead to the birth of William and Kate''s baby, The Living Room on Grey Street will be encouraging customers in Newcastle to wet the baby's head in style with one of three bespoke Royal baby-themed cocktails.

The city centre bar and restaurant's expert mixologists have worked hard to create three fresh summer cocktails to delight any palate, Royalist or republican.

The cocktails include William's Apple Martini, a heady mix of Chase William's Apple Gin and Noilly Pratt dry vermouth, Princess' Pride, a sweet mix of Stolichnaya Vanilla Vodka, fresh raspberries and sugar syrup and the blackberry-infused Daddy Royale - simply Creme de Cassis topped with prosecco.

Louise Nicol, The Living Room's bar trainer commented: "While we mere subjects are unlikely to get an invite to wet the baby's head at Buckingham Palace, this is one way we can all celebrate the birth of the latest addition to the Royal family in style.

"The Royal birth really is great news for Britain, so what better excuse to pull together a group of friends and raise a glass in style."
