Bishkek to host lecture on impact of open educational resources on development of country.

The American University of Central Asia on June 16 will host an open lecture on the impact of open educational resources on the development of the country, according to organizers.

The lecture will will be held by expert on open educational resources in the United States Hal Plotkin.

Currently, Hal Plotkin is senior fellow at the Creative Commons USA. Earlier Plotkin served as a senior policy adviser of the US Secretary of Education.

As part of the lecture, Plotkin is going to tell about initiatives aimed at the development of open learning resources, reforms in the field of education in different countries, as well as recent reforms in the educational process.

Lecture is organized by the Initiative of Roza Otunbayeva International Public Foundation in partnership and with the support of the Freedom of Information project under Soros-Kyrgyzstan.
