BioElectronics Announces Product Upgrades.

FREDERICK, Md. -- BioElectronics Corp. (PINKSHEETS: BIEL), the maker of inexpensive, disposable, drug-free anti-inflammatory devices, today announced a major upgrade to its ActiPatch Therapy[R] product line. The upgrade consists of a new methodology for attaching the Company's patented technology to the human body.

Beginning effectively with the next product manufacturing run, all ActiPatch Therapy[R] products will utilize a new type of flexible and highly durable elastic strap with Velcro ends that will enable users to place this award winning technology directly over the site of their pain or inflammation.

"This is a very exciting development for BioElectronics. While our initial products were well received, our distributors and customers indicated that a more durable packaging was needed," said Arnon Horev, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at BioElectronics Corp. "Based on this input, our brand management staff and production executives worked directly with several vendors to devise this unique packaging, which now utilizes a highly breathable fabric that is soft against the skin while remaining extremely durable. We are looking forward to shipping this new form factor to all of our international distributors over the coming weeks."

Andrew Whelan, CEO of BioElectronics said, "We have been very busy over the past few months relative to product improvements and new product design. The enhancement we are announcing today is very important because while the new packaging will significantly improve the customer's user experience, the additional costs of goods sold to the Company is relatively low and still allows BioElectronics to command a healthy gross margin. Considering that back pain is the single most often reported reason for physician office visits, and that the worldwide back pain market is valued in excess of many billions of dollars, we believe our opportunities with this new product are significant."

BioElectronics plans to formally introduce its new back pain belt over the coming next few months, with shipments to international distributors beginning shortly thereafter.
