Billingham Rangers; GRASSROOTS SPORT.

THE Under-9s celebrated winning the Sunderland and District Russell Foster League Cup.

Rangers did this in style, winning 14 and drawing one of their 15 matches, while scoring 60 goals and conceding only two.

Based at Billingham Synthonia Cricket Club, this was the first time Rangers had competed outside of the TJFA League.

Well done to the squad - leading scorer James Burdon, captain Josh Farmer, Luke Duffy, Ben Tomlinson, Morgan Guest, Elliot Wing, Alexander Maddison, Tom Copeland and goalkeeper Kieran Dixon.

The club, which was only founded two years ago, has already celebrated success this season with the Under-8s crowned champions in TJFA Durham Division Two.

Building on this success next season, the club will have two Under-10 teams, an Under-9 and Under-8 side all competing in the TJFA.

The Under-7s will also compete in the Middlesbrough in the Community League at Eston.

The club is keen to attract new boy and girl players aged five to nine.

They are particularly keen to recruit a nine-year-old (currently in school Year 4) goalkeeper. Previous experience is not essential.

Billingham Rangers is an FA Charter Standard Club and prides itself on its coaches and parents adhering to those standards to create an enjoyable safe environment for all its children.
