Billies ready for Sky-Em playoffs.

Clay Holloway had two singles and two RBIs, and Cody Jordan hit a two-run double to lead host Pleasant Hill to a 6-2 Sky-Em League prep baseball victory over Elmira on Thursday in the final game of the league season. Holloway also pitched six innings.

On Monday, Pleasant Hill will meet Cottage Grove at Junction City, and the winner will play the host Tigers in the second game of a doubleheader for the league's No. 3 seed in the state playoffs.

Sisters 7, Cottage Grove 3: Nate Jackson threw a three-hitter and the second-place Outlaws scored five runs in the seventh inning to get the win after trailing 3-2.

Marist 11, Junction City 4: Grant Mascolo was 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs, and Brady Kirkpatrick was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for the host Spartans.

Softball Sky-Em League

Pleasant Hill 10, Elmira 8: Jessica Warwick was 4-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs to lead the visiting Billies. Julia Medicine-Crow and Kristie Dappert each hit two-run triples in a five-run sixth inning. Vanessa Vanderpool was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for the Falcons.

In a playoff doubleheader at Junction City on Monday, Elmira will meet Cottage Grove, and the winner plays Junction City for the No. 3 seed in the state playoffs.

Marist 13, Junction City 0: Kayla Braud was 5-for-5 with three doubles and four RBIs, and Nyree White was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and 17 strikeouts while throwing a three-hitter for the league-champion Spartans.

Braud has now hit safely in 67 consecutive games, and the Spartans (23-1) have won 41 straight league games.

Sisters 16, Cottage Grove 1: The second-place Outlaws scored 11 runs in the fourth inning against the visiting Lions.

Girls tennis Southwest Conference championships

Emma Daugherty of South Eugene reached the singles championship semifinals on Thursday at the league tournament at the Eugene Swim and Tennis Club.

After a first-round bye, Daugherty defeated Kendra Ribeiro of North Medford 6-0, 6-0 in the second round, and Grants Pass' Carli Sash 6-3, 6-3 in the quarterfinals and will meet Sierra Severson of North Medford in the semifinals.

In doubles, Paige Bennett and Kelsi Van Heise of Sheldon reached the semifinals by downing Jessica Reid and Kelly Satterfield of North Medford 6-3, 6-3 in the first round, Tiffany Boonprayoon and Priscilla Macy of Grants Pass 6-3, 6-3 in the second round and South Eugene's Ariana Hernandez and Soraya Marashi 6-3, 6-3 in the quarterfinals.

They will meet Sam Ruffe and Natalie Ruffe of South Medford in the semifinals.

Track and Field

Jasem Dulany won the boys 3,000 meters and Leonie Mohr took the girls 3,000 to lead Creswell on the first day of the PacWest Conference championships at Western Oregon University in Monmouth. Dulany was timed in 9 minutes, 42.85 seconds, and Mohr was clocked in 11:29.20.

Grant Gagle of Jefferson won the pole vault (11-6), Toledo's Bo Johnson took the shot put (44-63/4) and Josh Sleeper of Waldport won the triple jump (38-7) in other boys finals.

Beth Stam of Toledo won the javelin with a throw of 129-4, cleared 5-2 to win the high jump and captured the long jump with an effort of 16-63/4. Sharissa Thayer of Waldport was victorious in the discus with a mark of 120-0.
