IT'S THE mother of all reunions. No, not those talentless old tarts who claimed to represent "Girl Power", but the real deal.

Axe hero John Squire (above) wants to reform The Stone Roses. "The plan is to make a ferocious guitar record on my own. And then put the Roses back together," he told Time Out. But earlier this year he told the NME that former bandmate Ian Brown was a "tuneless knob" and a "paranoid mess".

Which might be an issue. Or the working titles for two new tracks.
