Bikes taken from garage.

A MOTORBIKE and a bicycle were stolen from the garage of a home.

Thieves broke into the garage on Ravens Hill Drive, Ashington, early on Sunday morning.

The burglars took a black-and-white BMX bike and a child's off-road motorbike, which is a Kawasaki Trials bike.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "The Trials bike is a KX60 model, is day-glo green and is missing an exhaust pipe. Once started, it would be extremely loud."

The theft happened between 3am and 6.30am.

Anyone with any information, or who has been offered a BMX or Trials bike for sale, is asked to contact police in Ashington on 03456 043 043 ext 61629. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
