Big night for cycle speedway followers.
A GROUP of Polish cycle racers are to compete in Coventry.The five-strong cycle speedway team from Bydgoszcz are coming to Britain for the European championships in Ipswich.
They wanted to do one other competition and British cycle speedway bosses suggested the restored cycle speedway track on Hearsall Common, Earlsdon.
The team will arrive in Coventry tomorrow ready for an evening contest against Coventry Devlin's Newsagents, the Wednesfield Aces and a team from Swindon.
Coventry cycle speedway secretary Mick Docker said: "It's our first international match for 24 years. As ambassadors for the city we will be royally entertaining them."
